Spend an evening under the stars and trees at Fairytale Town! Join us as we showcase another classic movie on the outdoor big screen, Disney's Mary Poppins! Watch as Julie Andrews, the famous magical nanny, takes two young children on an exciting adventure into playful worlds filled with eccentric characters. Doors open at 6:30PM, the movie starts promptly at 7:30PM. Tickets are $5 each, members recieve $1 off. This is a special event and is open to the general public. Summer Concert: Sal Valentino & Voices

Celebrate the end of summer with a unique outdoor concert featuring distinct voices. Sal Valentino is the legendary singer of The Beau Brummels and Stoneground. Combining old and new, Sal fronts his own orchestra. To round out the evening, there will be opening performances by Alex Nelson, the hottest up and coming Sacramento artist, and Hans Erberbach, the frontman for The Nibblers. Doors open at 5:30PM; concert begins at 6:00PM. Tickets are $10 each, children 12 & under are free. Fairytale Town and Capitol Public Radio members recieve a 2 for 1 discount. Grandparent's Day

Grandparent's Day is all about celebrating quality time together, whether it's spending Sunday with the whole family or planning some solo adventures for grandparents and grandchildren! One special day a year, Fairytale Town invites grandparents to play in the park for free when accompanied by a child. Regular park admission is $4.50 per person on weekends. ScholarShare Children's Book Festival- FREE EVENT

Celebrate literacy at Fairytale Town with this two-day free event thanks to generous support from ScholarShare College Savings Plan. Activities include ongoing author and illustrator presentations on the Mother Goose Stage, a wide array of hands-on literacy activities provided by several local area arts organizations, and more! Headlining the event will be Kristi Yamaguchi presenting her book, "Dream Big, Little Pig" on Saturday. The ScholarShare Children's Book Festival is sponsored by ScholarShare College Savings Plan, Wells Fargo, the River Cats Foundation, IKEA, The Sacramento Bee, KVIE Channel 6, Mix96, and Clear Channel Outdoor. The 25th anniversary of the Safe & Super Halloween brings you four nights of family fun and celebrates the literary sensation of our era: Harry Potter! Each night features 17 candy stations, themed decor throughout the park including Potter classics like Butter Beer, magical candy, wizardry, and Hogwarts fun, hands-on activities and much, much more! Puppet Art Theater will be performing in the Children's Theater, and tickets will be available for purchase.
