Buena Park, CA – It just got a little easier to visit the Farm. Starting April 4, Knott’s Berry Farm, one of Southern California’s most popular tourist destinations, will become part of the Anaheim Resort Transportation service or ART. The service which has been in operation for 10 years transports over 3 million guests annually between 65 local hotels as well as the Disneyland Resort entertainment complex, Anaheim Stadium, Honda Center, Anaheim Metrolink Station, and the shops at GardenWalk on sixteen different routes.
With the addition of the two new routes, service will expand to include stops at Knott’s Berry Farm, Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, Pirates Dinner Adventure and the California Welcome Center in the City of Buena Park and the Discovery Science Center and the WestField Mainplace mall in the City of Santa Ana. In addition to transporting guests to top tourist destinations in Orange County, ART also provides an important community resource by transporting residents who live and work in the Anaheim Resort area, and will now service the Buena Park and Santa Ana residents as well.

As all IDs must reference specific fire or law enforcement duty, government-only IDs will not be accepted.
Under promotional rules, Knott’s will admit sworn officers, civilian employees and support staff from all city and county fire and law enforcement organizations, plus the following: California Highway Patrol (CHP); County Sheriff; District Attorney; U.S. Forest Service, California Department of Forestry and other wild land fire organizations; correctional facilities (prisons); U.S. Marshals; ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms); the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); International Border Patrol; Immigration Naturalization Service (INS); ambulance company EMTs; and reserve or volunteer fire and law enforcement members with valid ID. KNOTT’S MERRY FARM CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS WITH “A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS”
BUENA PARK, Calif. – Knott’s Berry Farm will be filled with the magic of the season this year as it transforms into Knott’s Merry Farm and celebrates “A Charlie Brown Christmas” with seasonal entertainment, spectacular decorations including a 65 foot tall Christmas tree, and a colorful Christmas parade starting Thanksgiving day and running through December 30, 2011.
Now a holiday tradition in Southern California, Knott’s Merry Farm is proud to present the holiday ice spectacular, “It’s Christmas, Snoopy!” The show, performed in the 2,100-seat Charles M. Elf Mountain Christmas is also back. Knott’s Halloween Haunt Site Has Risen From the Dead

Knott’s Welcomes Kathy and Janet Lennon to 2011 Doll Event
BUENA PARK, Calif. –Kathy and Janet Lennon will be signing their award-winning product line, Best Pals, at Knott’s Berry Farm’s 2011 Doll Event on Saturday, July 30TH. Linda Rick, President/ Artist for The Doll Maker as well as a Precious Moments Artist will also be present at the event.
The celebrity sisters, who still perform in Branson and select venues throughout the year, developed their doll line based on their lifelong friendship and their love for a pair of ragdolls handmade for them by their mother and their Nana in 1949.
As a little girl Linda Rick always believed in fairytales where her dolls would come to life and play. Linda Rick started her business back in 1990, then in 2001 she became the doll designer for Precious moments and the rest is fairytale history!
Knott’s Doll Event will take place at Virginia’s Gift Shop located in Knott’s Marketplace from 11 am – 2 pm. The event includes hourly raffles, doll signing, Knott’s exclusive Limited Edition Precious Moments “Fluttering Around Knott’s Berry Farm” and the introduction of their limited edition Kathy and Janet Best Pals Gift Sets with the dolls dressed in exclusive Jim Shore dresses and aprons. Festivities for the day include performances by the Navy Band, a Navy simulator interactive educational display and a special presentation by the Navy Parachute Team, “Leap Frogs.”
Los Angeles Navy Week celebration seeks to give the general public an opportunity to meet some of the Navy’s Sailors and learn more about the Navy’s critical missions and its broad-ranging capabilities.
The U.S. Navy Parachute Demonstration Team, the “Leap Frogs,” is a fourteen-man team comprised entirely of U.S. Navy SEAL and SWCC personnel. The “Leap Frog” performance displays the team’s skills as they leap out of an aircraft at an altitude of 12,500 feet. During free fall, jumpers reach speeds of 120 mph and can accelerate up to 180 mph by pulling their arms to their sides and straightening their legs into what is called a “track.” The jumpers open their parachutes around 5,000 feet by releasing a smaller pilot chute. After deploying their chutes, the Leap Frogs fly their canopies together to build dramatic formations. After their performance, the Leap Frogs will make themselves available to guests to answer questions about the Navy and Naval Seal Warfare community, as well as to sign autographs.
The Navy Simulator is a 12 –passenger mobile unit featuring live-action Navy films programmed to move in sync with point-of-view imagery presented on a large screen. The Navy Simulator will give guests a firsthand, interactive experience that will provide a glimpse into the life of a Navy sailor.

Knott’s Berry Farm Invites You to Go “Coasting for Kids”
Buena Park, CA – Knott’s Berry Farm is asking coaster enthusiasts to indulge their passion for the thrill ride and help a worthy cause and go “Coasting for Kids” on Sunday, July 24. Knott’s is looking for participants to ride the Jaguar coaster for 10 hours to help raise funds for Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit organization that provides family vacations for children living with life-threatening illnesses. Knott’s will join with 10 other Cedar Fair parks in hosting this event making “Coasting for Kids” a national event.
To be a part of “Coasting for Kids” participants must pay a $40 through www.firstgiving.com/gktw/KBF by July 22. Participants can raise the money themselves, or can have friends donate to the cause through online donations to their Give Kids The World accounts. The top 30 fundraisers will earn a seat on the Knott’s Jaguar coaster. The marathon ride will begin at 7:00 am and will include a light breakfast, as well as a Mrs. Knott’s Chicken lunch at noon. All registered participants will receive a ticket to Knott’s Berry Farm as well as a “Coasting for Kids” t-shirt. Top fundraisers will receive Knott’s Berry Farm Beagle Bucks to spend in the park as well as Knott’s Berry Farm merchandise.

Knott’s Berry Farm Theme Park Attempts Guinness Book World Record
Guests will be grinning from ear to ear as they attempt to
set record for corn husking
BUENA PARK, CA -- Knott’s Berry Farm will attempt to set a record for the largest number of people husking corn on Thursday, July 14. The record setting attempt is part of Knott’s parent company, Cedar Fair Entertainment’s partnership with Guinness Worlds Record’s new division, GWR Live! This partnership includes a summer-long series of interactive events at Cedar Fair Amusement Park’s across the country.
“Knott’s Berry Farm chose a corn husking event because it really takes us back to our roots as a farm,” says Marty Keithley, Knott’s Berry Farm’s general manager. “Knott’s Berry Farm founders Walter and Cordelia Knott came to Buena Park in the 1920’s to make a living farming, and for a time corn was one of their crops.” Today the park offers over 165 rides, shows and attractions, though it still offers corn in the famous Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. “If it weren’t for the family farm, and later the family restaurant, we would not have Knott’s Berry Farm theme park today,” added Keithley.
The opportunity to be a part of the Guinness Book World Record Event will be open to all paid park guests on the 14th, as space allows. “To set the record we need to have at least 250 people husking corn at one time, “ said Knott’s Berry Farm spokeswoman Jennifer Blazey, “but we will be prepared for as many as 500 participants.” To sign up in advance for the event, send an e-mail to pr@knotts.com and place “corn husking” in the message line. Knott’s Berry Farm Celebrates 4th of July with Tribute to Armed Forces and Loads of Entertainment
Knott’s Berry Farm and all three Southern California Knott’s Soak City water parks –Palm Springs, San Diego and Buena Park will be offering FREE admission to active and retired United States Military personnel on Sunday and Monday of Independence Day (July 3-4) weekend as part of their Tribute to the Armed Forces Program.
Additionally, active and retired members of the U.S. military will be able to purchase discounted admission tickets for members of their immediate family (maximum of six) for Knott's Berry Farm for only $31.99 for each Regular ticket and $25.99 for each Regular Knott's Soak City ticket. The free ticket offer will be available on the Sunday and Monday, July 3-4, with a valid military ID.
Knott’s will also offer non-stop entertainment this 4th of July starting with The Mountain Fifes and Drum Corps who will be marching through the park at 11:30 and 1:30 ending with a performance and narrative in Calico Square. The U.S. Navy Band Southwest, a 13 piece show band from San Diego, will be performing at 6:45 pm in the Wagon Camp.
Additionally, guests who have not seen Knott’s ice show “Happiness is….Snoopy!” or had a chance to view “Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular,” will want to make these a priority on the 4th of July along with Knott’s special aerial fireworks presentation at 9:15 pm.

Knott’s Invites Families to Join the Cartoon Network “Move It Movement”
BUENA PARK, Calif. – Knott’s Berry Farm and Cartoon Network (in partnership with the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition) invites kids ages 6-14 to be a part of the “Move It Movement Tour,” on Saturday, June 25.
The tour features multiple stations with a host of activities including:
• Soccer Shootout Challenge, where kids can take aim and test their shooting skills;
• NBA/WNBA FIT Activity Zone, letting kids test their fitness level through basketball;
• PGA Chipping Challenge, letting kids test their golf skills on a mobile putting green;
• Skate Park Challenge, featuring skateboard experts performing high flying demonstrations;
• Crayola, where kids can use their imagination by creating outdoor art;
• Zookeeper™ Leapin’ Lions Challenge, testing focus, balance, and strength.

Happiness Is…..the Summer at Knott’s
BUENA PARK, Calif. (Summer 2011) –Knott’s Berry Farm will celebrate the summer season with new shows and a breathtaking new attraction, WindSeeker.
Making its debut high above Orange County this summer is WindSeeker. Rising over 300 feet in the air, WindSeeker will take 64 passengers to new heights as it ascends above the theme park and then spins riders for a 60 second ride at a speed of 30 miles per hour. WindSeeker is slated to open in July.
Starting May 28, “Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” returns for its second season and is bigger and brighter than ever. When darkness falls over Knott’s Berry Farm, Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular brings Camp Snoopy to life with a continuous light show filled with Peanuts’ figures, themed music, sound effects, and colorful projections. In “Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” guests will see their favorite characters in scenes that personify them – Lucy’s dream of being a Hollywood starlet, Schroeder’s musical genius, even Woodstock gets into the act as he and Snoopy go on a camping adventure.
“Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular” will run every evening the park is open after 8:00 p.m.
Over at the Charles M. Schulz Theatre, Knott’s Berry Farm is proud to present “Happiness is….Snoopy” (dark Wednesdays) an exciting ice show debuting June 18. In this musical extravaganza you will fall in love with Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang as they share the simple joys of life with the help of world-class ice skaters in a show that will delight the entire family. Catchy tunes, elaborate costumes, special effects and show-stopping choreography make this production a not-to-miss experience.
Back by popular demand, Knott’s “All Wheels Extreme” returns to the Calico Stage on June 18. Guests will be amazed by the skills of gravity defying BMX bikers, in-line skaters, a trials rider, gymnasts and even a skateboarding canine in a fast paced, action packed production.
For the younger set, “Hooray for Hollywood” tells the story of the Peanuts® Gang as they try to make it big in Tinseltown. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, and their friend JT pay homage to the golden days of Hollywood in a show that’s sure to delight kids of all ages.
At twilight the Calico Square Stage becomes the place to learn the latest dances at “Country Dancin’ U.S.A.” (selected dates) with Knott’s line dancing aficionados, J.T. and Dusty.
The summer really heats up with “Fiesta Folklorico.” Guests in Fiesta Village will be treated to beautifully costumed dancers as they present culturally-rich performances filled with intricate choreography.
Weekends were made for BBQs and Knott’s is firing up the grill May 21-22, 28-30, June 4-5 then daily through September 5.
