UNIVERSAL ORLANDO ’S AMC UNIVERSAL CINEPLEX THEATER TO OPEN “HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS – PART 1” ON ALL 20 SCREENS

Showings for 2010’s Most-Anticipated Film Begin at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, November 19

Orlando, Fla. (November 11, 2010) – Universal Orlando Resort’s AMC Universal Cineplex 20 will devote every theater to the opening of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” – giving guests multiple opportunities to be among the first to see one of 2010’s most anticipated films.  All 20 movie screens within the theater, including The IMAX Experience theater, will debut the film at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, November 19.  There will also be a 3:15 a.m. IMAX showing of the movie.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is the seventh and final adventure in the Harry Potter film series and will be told in two full-length parts.  Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the Horcruxes—the keys to Voldemort’s immortality.  On their own, without the guidance or protection of their professors, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever.  But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.

Guests can also prepare for the new Harry Potter film by experiencing The Harry Potter Adventure special event at AMC Universal Cineplex 20.  At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, guests can enjoy the adventures of the two most recent Harry Potter films – “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” – before the 12:01 a.m. showing of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.” Tickets are $20 and include admission to see all three Harry Potter films.
