Upcoming Events at the Wabash County Historical Museum

DON’T MISS IT!

Red Carpet Club:  Thursday, February 24 at 6 pm. It's time for another meeting of the Red Carpet Club! (Don't let the word "club" fool you. Everyone is welcome.) Thursday, February 24th at 6pm, we will be taking in a classic musical-comedy featuring a Hoosier actor. Come see Indiana comedian Red Skelton in the hilarious old musical, Neptune 's Daughter. Also featuring the aquatic stylings of Esther Williams, the smooth Latin charisma of Ricardo Montalban, and the quirky sweetness of character actress Betty Garrett, this film is one you won't want to miss. This movie contains one of the most popular wintertime songs, "Baby, It's Cold Outside." They just don't make 'em like they used to!

We will also be showing a very brief film featuring an interview with Red Skelton as he discusses growing up in Indiana . Mr. The son of a clown, Skelton got his start in Vaudeville. Nathanael Gray will be sharing some information about vaudeville with us, as well.

Red Carpet Club:  Thursday, April 28 at 6 pm. Plan ahead for this one! Eric Grayson, a film historian, will be sharing with the 1940 production of Gene Stratton-Porter’s “Laddie.” Mr. Grayson will also impart his extensive knowledge on the films of Gene Stratton-Porter. This film is extremely rare, and Mr. Grayson will be bringing the film reel with him personally. Cost for this event is $5/person. Call 260.563.9070 to reserve your spot today.
