Opens for Sal Valentino at Fairytale Town

Local Sacramento band 2Me will be the opening act for Sal Valentino at the Fairytale Town concert on September 9.  2Me is a unique blend of alt-folk, blues, and rock. During their travels, additions to the band have been known to include mandolin, horns, kazoos, washboards, and harps. One only wonders, what this unique band will have to share with the Fairytale Town audience!

The band began around 1998 with Christopher Twomey and his acoustic guitar. In 2003 he picked up Nathan Bisig on electric guitar, Reid Foster on drums, and Conan The Bass Player. Over the next three years the foursome recorded two albums, toured regionally and nationally. Then in 2006 the band decided it was time for a change of pace and said farewell to the music scene. Christopher and Reid only grew more impassioned and made the big leap, and left their day jobs to play music full time.  2Me will perform on the Mother Goose Stage at 7PM.

The Sal Valentino Band & Strings
Sal Valentino is the legendary singer of the The Beau Brummels and Stoneground from San Francisco 1960's rock scene. Sal now fronts his own orchestra featuring a full string section. On his new CD, "Every Now and Then," Sal draws on his years of musical experience and combines the old with the new. Guests can help Sal Valentino celebrate his birthday, as we sing "Happy Birthday" to Sal!
