Popular Theatre Arts FunCamp returns to Fairytale Town
Monday, March 29 to Friday, April 2, 2010
1:00PM to 4:00PM
Calling All Aspiring Young Actors!
DRAMARAMA! returns to Fairytale Town in March. It's a fast-paced and funny five-day FunCamp that covers the essentials of Theatre Arts education. Campers learn theatre games, exercises and storytelling experiments that involve movement, imagination and energetic interaction. The week culminates with a live variety show performance for friends and family on Friday, April 2nd.
"The goal is strengthening essential lifeskills", says Mr. Lee, Fairytale Town's Theatre Arts Educator and the creator of DRAMARAMA, "By the end of the week, most students will be able to stand up in front of a room full of people and express themselves. Clear, confident speaking voices and the ability to communicate without fear--that's the challenge. But we're also going to put some fun back in the fundamentals". The FunCamp will introduce students to basic breathing and posture exercises, stage movement, improvisation, pantomime, theatre games, some history and reading, even a little bit of Shakespeare--time permitting. "It's a solid foundation", says Mr. Lee. "DRAMARAMA is a great springboard for beginners and a fun refresher for little stage veterans. Fun is the primary goal".
Registration is now open, but spaces are limited. DRAMARAMA is scheduled for March 29 through April 2, Monday through Friday from 1PM to 4PM. The special FunCamp fee is only $95 for Fairytale Town Members, $130 for non-members. The five-day camp is open for children from 6 to 12 years of age. JORDIN SPARKS VISITS BUSCH GARDENS AS PART OF FLORIDA FAMILY VACATION
TAMPA, Fla. (March. 15, 2010) – Jordin Sparks, winner of the sixth season of American Idol, visited Busch Gardens Tampa Bay over the weekend with her cousins and family to ride roller coasters and hand-feed giraffes on the park’s 65-acre Serengeti Plain.
A reticulated giraffe’s tongue can be up to 14 inches long, and its black coloring provides a natural “sunscreen” to prevent burning as the giraffe grazes for food for hours each day.
Sparks, who was Idol’s youngest winner at 17 years old, followed her victory with the release of a debut album in 2007, which has gone platinum, and the hit single "No Air" with Chris Brown. She won an American Music Award in 2008 and received her first Grammy nomination in 2009.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay combines world-class thrill rides, live entertainment and one of North America’s largest zoos in an unforgettable adventure for the whole family.

Old TPA Quick Take Page Archived
While we have started replacing the Quick Take link throughout our site, we haven't deleted the content or removed it from the TPA server (and won't for quite a while - you may be going back through these archived messages and just now reading this even if it's months and months old).
The archived stories include a personal Marc Davis artwork exhibition that was at Forest Lawn in Glendale, Jungle Jim's in Ohio and the 2009 TPA Night at SAW Haunted Attraction gathering.

This is one that we're leaving to you guys - the fans. The 2010 TPA NIGHT AT HAUNT event will be held October 2, 2010 at Knott's Scary Farm.
We've already started designing the shirt for this year's event - and we want people to have ample time to check it out, buy it and get amped about the single-most anticipated TPA reader gathering of the year.
The question is, when should we release the shirt for purchase? We are conflicted about it and are simply going to put it up to you guys.
Please visit the Theme Park Adventure site and take the poll, which is located on our Message Board in the Halloween Haunt section. Your input is much appreciated!
