LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 Xbox 360® Videogame Debuts at LEGOLAND® California

Special two-day sneak-peek event June 26-27 features Xbox360 game preview 

CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 17, 2010) – Wizards and Muggles alike will be enchanted by the all-new LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft during a two-day preview event June 26-27 at LEGOLAND® California.

During the two-day preview event, all 13 game stations in LEGOLAND California’s Xbox 360 Family GameSpace and all Xbox 360 kiosks throughout the family theme Park will give guests a special sneak-peek of the new action/adventure game, allowing them to experience the magic of the first four Harry Potter stories – LEGO® style. In addition, life-size LEGO models of Harry Potter and Hagrid will welcome guests to the Xbox 360 Family GameSpace and offer a fun photo opportunity for the entire family. As an added treat that weekend, Harry Potter fans can be the first to purchase the new game at The Big Shop at LEGOLAND before it debuts to the public on June 29.

The LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 Xbox 360® videogame allows players to build the Harry Potter adventures from the doorstep of Privet Drive to the final task of the Triwizard Tournament as they relive Harry’s first four years at Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The game features tongue-in-cheek humor and creative customization that is unique to LEGO videogames.

Other key game features include playing as your favorite character including Harry Potter, or his best friends Ron Weasley™: and Hermione Granger™, as well as over 100 other characters from the wizarding world! Players will attend lessons, learn spells, mix potions, fly on broomsticks and complete tasks to earn rewards as they explore iconic settings including Dragon Alley™, the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade and, of course, Hogwarts castle. The Hogswarts school grounds are a grand, immersive 3D environment and the largest, most detailed LEGO game location ever built.
