Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark Announces Six New Attractions As Part of a Multi-Million Dollar Expansion for 2011

2011 season introduces the region's only Boogie Bahn surf ride, three slides, record-breaking rapids river, whitewater tube chute, ride-up Aqua Veyer, additional attractions and guest amenities.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Visitors from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico visited the new Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark during its first full season of operation in 2010. The huge success of last summer paves the way for a multi-million dollar 2011 expansion including the region’s only Boogie Bahn surf ride, three slides, record-breaking rapids river, whitewater tube chute, ride-up Aqua Veyer, additional attractions and guest amenities.

“Attendance during our first full season exceeded our expectations,” explained Keith Fontenot, general manager for Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark. “Our unique river tubing experience was well received by our guests. They asked for more and we are excited to introduce more thrilling attractions and amenities for the 2011 season.”

The park opens for the 2011 season on Saturday, May 21, 2011. For a limited time, save up to $15 when you buy 2011 season passes online at schlitterbahn.com. General Admission season passes for ages 12-54 are only $109.99 (save $15) and Child/Senior season passes for ages 3-11 and 55 & older are only $74.99 (save $10). Ages 2 and younger are free.
