Children's Authors & Illustrators Announced for ScholarShare Children's Book Festival

Another story is set to come alive at Fairytale Town during the 11th annual ScholarShare Children's Book Festival, a two day event  on September 24 and 25.  

In its 11th year, the ScholarShare Children's Book Festival features numerous activities including; dynamic presentations from children's authors and illustrators, story-telling performances, hands-on literacy activities, and information on literacy-based activities from various community organizations. Some of this year's featured children's book authors and illustrators at the event will include the following:  

KRISTI YAMAGUCHI, an Olympic champion and philanthropist who has been an inspiration to millions of fans around the world for her athletic achievements and continually giving back to the community. www.kristiyamaguchi.com

Presenting: Dream Big, Little Pig  Time:Saturday 3PM

ANN BOWLER has written many award winning children's books on multicultural and environmental themes. www.annmartinbowler.com

Presenting: All About Korea Time: Saturday 11:30AM

Thanks to the generous support of ScholarShare College Savings Plan the two day event is free to the public; making it possible to host the largest early childhood literacy event in the Sacramento region. In 2010 the event hosted an astounding 13,000 attendees. ScholarShare commemorates September as College Savings Month by helping families plan for their children's academic futures.
